Andreas Kapetanios is an Electrical Engineer. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Cyprus (2020), and a Master’s degree on Energy Technologies & Sustainable Design, from the interdepartmental Master’s programme of the Polytechnic School of the University of Cyprus (2022).
His professional career dates back to his studies, when he worked in the PVs sector, contributing to the design, study, and issuance of quotations for PV systems; as well as in the constructions sector, where he worked as an Electrical Engineer in electrical installations.
He then worked as a provider of technical support for users of various organisations (IT helpdesk), and a contributor for the development of a Smart City, where he undertook the coordination of facilities, and of the data resulting from the systems. Finally, he worked with the Local Governance for their energy matters.
Andreas joined the Cyprus Energy Agency in March 2024 as an Electrical Engineer, and since then, is part of the Technical Systems & Renewables team, of the Energy Efficiency & Renewables department.
