Andreas Ioannou is a Civil Engineer (BSc & Diploma), graduate of the Democritus University of Thrace, and earned with an MSc title in Structural Engineering from the University of Nottingham. He gained experience working as a Civil Engineer in an Architectural and Design Consultancy, where his duties, among others, included structural designs, project management, and supervision. He has also worked as a site engineer in a construction company. Andreas' interest in energy conservation in buildings led him to obtain the title of a Qualified Expert, and work as a consulting engineer for energy upgrades of both, housing and commercial buildings. He is also a member of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus.
Andreas joined the Cyprus Energy Agency as a Civil Engineer in November 2022, and since then, he forms part of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources Department, participating in multiple European co-financed projects.
