Christina Palochi is an Architect-Engineer (Diploma, BSc), graduate of the University of Cyprus, also holding an MSc in Architectural Engineering: Environmental Design from the University of Bath, UK. Since 2019, she is a PhD candidate in the Department of Architecture of the University of Cyprus and her research interests focus on kinetic mechanisms, structural design, adaptive facades, passive and environmental design, and energy performance of buildings. She is a registered member of the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber and a trained and certified "PassivHaus Designer" by the Passive House Institute (PHI).
Regarding her professional experience of 4,5 years, she has been working in the construction industry as an Architect-Engineer, mainly in designing various types of buildings, as well as preparing submissions for town planning and building permits. Since November 2021, she is a member of the Cyprus Energy Agency in the Department of Energy Efficiency and Renewables and participates in European co-financed projects.
