The Energy Office of Cyprus, a partner in the consortium of the European project UPGREAT [Upskilling Professionals for deep enerGy efficiency REnovations: A Tool for better schools], invites you to the Final Event organized for the UPGREAT project in Cyprus, on Wednesday, December 20, from 14:00 to 17:00, at facilities of Nicosia.
UPGREAT is a project funded by European Climate Initiative (EUKI) and coordinated by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece). The project consortium is completed by our Office, the Hellenic Passive Building Institute and the German Da-Di-Werk, and its aim - as its name indicates - is to improve the skills of construction professionals in relation to radical energy renovations – especially energy upgrades of school buildings.
Come and learn about its work and action in Cyprus and Greece, with a special emphasis on the Cypriot territory. Come to discuss the legislative framework in force in Cyprus in relation to the Energy Performance of buildings, to examine best practices from school buildings whose energy upgrading is coordinated by our Office, and subsequently, to delve into energy interventions, such as thermal insulation and the integration of Renewable Energy Sources. Come and explore technical equipment used when performing energy audits in buildings.
The event is open to the public and is free to attend. The first part will be mostly informative, while the second part will be educational in nature (seminar). Here is the detailed layout:
