The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), the Cyprus Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry (MECI), and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), are jointly organizing the 7th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency, focusing on Energy Security. The Conference is also supported from several academic and research institutions, as well as other business entities and authorities associated with Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency. The Conference will be held on October 12-14, 2023, at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia.

The aim of the Conference is to bring together key stakeholders of renewable energy and energy efficiency to share and discuss advances, recent developments, and best practices. It is therefore aimed at assisting researchers, scientists, manufacturers, companies, communities, agencies, international organizations and governments in keeping abreast of new developments in their specialist fields and in joining forces in finding solutions to current challenges.

The topics that will be covered in the Conference will include but not limited to renewable energy sources and technologies, long term energy planning and RE Roadmap towards Cyprus’ NECP, Geothermal for heating and cooling, island and regional cooperation, island tourism, digitalization and blockchain technology, energy supply security, e-mobility and smart charging for electric vehicles, energy communities and active consumers, energy efficiency, green buildings, weather forecasting, rural electrification, energy markets, desalination solutions for islands, green hydrogen and battery storage amongst others.
