Stefani holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineer from the University of Nottingham, and a Master's degree in Sustainability in the Urban Environment from the City College of New York. She is passionate about sustainable and efficient cities, and looks at cities as ecosystems that operate best when in harmony with nature and people. Between 2016-2021, she worked as an energy engineer in New York, consulting buildings on energy efficiency and sustainability. In 2019, she participated in the Nicosia Climathon, organized by the Cyprus Energy Agency and EIT Climate-KIC, where she and her team G.R.O.W. won the first prize for their idea to create an urban farming green roof prototype in Nicosia. In 2021, she joined the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network as a Project Officer for the Local Pathways Fellowship, where she supported fellows working on SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities projects in their respective cities.
Stefani joined the Cyprus Energy Agency as an Environmental Engineer in November 2021. She supports operations on European Programs and contributes to Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans for communities in Cyprus. She hopes to have an integral part in the transition of Cypriot cities towards a more efficient and resilient future, with lively streets, fewer cars, more nature, and less waste.
