Christina Andreou is a graduate of Civil and Environmental Engineering (BSc) school of the University of Cyprus, where she completed her studies in 2014. She continued her studies in Great Britain, where in 2015, she was awarded with a master’s degree in Engineering in the Coastal Environment (MSc), from the University of Southampton.

She is a member of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus, as a Civil Engineer. From 2016 to 2021, she worked as a Civil Engineer in an engineering consulting firm by the role of the Project Engineer, where she was involved in various governmental and local council projects, such as structural designs of concrete and steel structures, hydrology studies, coastal studies, flood protection and prevention, and road planning.

In November 2021, she joined the Cyprus Energy Agency as a Civil Engineer at the Climate Change and Environment Department, where she contributes to several European and local projects, related to the climate change adaptation of the local authorities and vulnerable populations, including the identification and design of Nature based Solutions (NbS) for flood risk management and urban heat island management. She also contributes to the Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability Assessments and the development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans for local authorities, under the Covenant of Mayors initiative. She is the Flood Risk Management expert of the Agency's Grant Scheme that offers funding to local authorities for climate change adaptation investments and is funded by the Resilience and Recovery Fund.
