The Cyprus Energy Office announces the start of the submission of applications under the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) Supply Grant Scheme, "EAC+", which aims to promote energy saving through the implementation of measures to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
Specifically, the Plan subsidizes the replacement of existing lighting and/or air conditioning units, with new, high energy efficiency ones, as follows:
Category A: Replacement of existing 60cm x 60cm lighting fixtures with new, high-energy-efficient, LED panel lighting fixtures, and/or replacement of existing 17cm round recessed lighting fixtures with high-energy-efficient LED panels.
Category B: Replacement of existing, low-energy-efficient, split-type stand-alone air conditioning units with new, high-energy-efficient stand-alone air conditioning units.
Potential beneficiaries of Category A of the Scheme are businesses, organizations and Local Authorities operating in areas under the control of the Republic of Cyprus, while for Category B, they are vulnerable consumers, beneficiaries of Tariff 08, as defined in by clicking here of EAC Supply.
Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2028, or until the available budget is exhausted, whichever occurs first. Applications will be submitted exclusively through the online electronic platform of the Scheme: https://ahkplus.org.cy/
The Implementing Body of the Grant Scheme is the EAC Procurement and the Supporting Body is the Cyprus Energy Office. The total budget of the Scheme amounts to € 5.5 million – € 4.5 million for Category A and € 1 million for Category B of the Scheme.
