Held on October 14, 2016 at the hotel "Crowne Plaza Athens Central" in Athens, Conference on "Sustainable Energy Projects in the Public Sector and the experience of Local Authorities from Design to Implementation". The Cyprus Energy Agency was invited to present at the meeting the results of two energy audits carried out at the premises of the Municipal Swimming Pool of Nicosia and the Municipal Swimming Pool of Aglantzia, in the framework of the project co-financed by the Intelligent Nearly Energy for Europe program - Sports Facilities Almost Zero Energy Consumption ".
The project "N0e Sport Facilities" aims at assessing the current energy situation of 18 sports facilities in the EU and in identifying and implementing innovative energy saving solutions to save more than 50% of the current consumed energy. As a result, n0e Sport Facilities promotes the creation of almost zero-energy sports facilities by designing and promoting a comprehensive sports facility renovation package that includes all available energy saving methods / measures and renewable energy technologies.
The workshop was attended by representatives of the national authorities and the local government of Greece, as well as market players active in the field of energy upgrading of buildings and facilities.
