The Cyprus Energy Office announces REPETITION the theoretical training and practical training seminar "Energy Performance of Buildings - Methodology & Learning of Building Energy Certification Software", which is aimed at graduate engineers of the Scientific & Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK), who are interested in learning and practicing the operation of the new software, based on the new methodology for calculating the energy performance of buildings - especially for those who wish to become Qualified Experts who will issue Energy Performance Certificates for Residences*.
*It is clarified that attending a training seminar for candidate Qualified Experts not is included in the required qualifications that a person must possess to be registered in the Register of Specialized Experts of the Energy Service (KDP164/2009).
Date
The training seminar will be held hybridly, as follows:
- May 14 & 15, 2026, online via the Microsoft TEAMS application
- May 28 & 29, 2026, with physical presence at the premises Cyprus Energy Agency
Seminar Objectives
- Familiarity with the legal framework related to the energy certification of buildings and the issuance of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
- Understanding the new energy certification methodology for buildings and the basic functions of the new software
- Understanding the basic principles of energy
- Contact with the stages required for the energy certification of buildings
- Understanding how the new software works, through practical training, for use in the issuance of PEA
- Identifying opportunities to improve the energy efficiency of the greenhouses
- Preparation for the Specialized Expert certification exams

Participation Cost
The seminar is subsidized by the Human Resources Development Authority (HRDA).
- For beneficiaries of the HRDA grant, the cost amounts to €220 (€700 minus HRDA grant €480)
- For NON-beneficiaries of the HRDA grant, the cost amounts to € 749.70 (€ 630 after GST discount plus VAT € 119.70)
