The Energy Office celebrates the success of the European project approval Yenesis, "Youth Employment Network for Energy Sustainability in Islands", With a total budget of 2.8 million. In this project, the Energy Office is the coordinator of a consortium of 10 organizations where, through a series of training, mentoring and job placement activities, it will support tackling the unemployment of new graduates by promoting green jobs in the islands of Europe.
The four key areas for the project are energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable tourism and sustainable transport. Emphasis will also be placed on youth entrepreneurship and innovation.
The actors involved in the project are Møand the Romsdal County Authority (NO), the Network of Sustainable Greek Islands (GR), the Association of Estonian Islands (EE), the Regional Agency for Energy and Environment of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (PU), the International Center for Sustainable Development of Energy , Water and Environment Systems (HR), Sapienza University of Rome (IT), Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ES), Frederick University (CY) and Chrysalis LEAP Limited (CY). Project funding comes from the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment.
