Soulla Karra is a qualified Civil Engineer (BSc) graduated from the Frederick University, Cyprus, in 2011. On 2012 she obtained her MSc in Civil Engineering Structures from the City University, UK. She is a member of the Scientific and Technical Chamber of Cyprus. She has been trained as a qualified International Assessor of BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment). Also, she has attended training courses for Sustainable Construction, Passive Houses and Energy Efficiency of Buildings.
She started her career as a Junior Engineer in the Ministry of Interior Cyprus where she was involved in monitoring and manage the marketing of Construction products, and in preparation of legislations regarding the Building and Planning, Construction Materials and Energy Efficiency in Buildings. In February 2019 she joined the Cyprus Energy Agency as a civil engineer, and she is involved in energy efficiency buildings, training and activities of students and local society, and technical support for the implementation of energy projects. She participates in European co-funded projects as a technical expert, and she is involved in projects, such as the development of a flexible learning pathway focused on energy efficiency and renewable energy promotion projects.
