The Energy Office of Cypriot Citizens, in the context of the implementation of the N0E Sport Facilities European Program "N8E Sport Facilities", organizes a thematic visit to the city of Eindhoven, the Netherlands at 9-2016 September XNUMX.
Representatives of the Municipality of Nicosia, Municipality of Aglantzia and the Energy Service will attend the visit. They will have the opportunity to visit Europe's largest indoor swimming pool, the "Pieter van de Hoogenband Swimming Stadium", the phillips lighting research center, to learn from relevant presentations and meetings and to exchange views with experts.
The project "N0e Sport Facilities" aims at assessing the current energy situation of 18 sports facilities in the EU and in identifying and implementing innovative energy saving solutions to save more than 50% of the current consumed energy. As a result, n0e Sport Facilities promotes the creation of almost zero-energy sports facilities by designing and promoting a comprehensive sports facility renovation package that includes all available energy saving methods / measures and renewable energy technologies.
The project consortium consists of organizations / organizations from Italy, Denmark, Portugal, the Netherlands, Croatia, the United Kingdom and Cyprus (Energy Office of Cypriots). In each country, 3 to 4 pilot sports facilities have been selected to propose and implement measures to improve their energy efficiency. From Cyprus are selected the municipal swimming pool Aglantzia, the sports facilities of the Halkanora Idalion Association, the Nicosia municipal swimming pool and the Kition Sports Center in Larnaca (KOA).
